The Brand
Blunt Umbrellas is a globally recognized company, known for its groundbreaking designs, standout brand and select artist collaborations. Blunt Umbrellas have a signature, innovative, patented design of curved edges that are incredibly strong - no more disposable umbrellas, no more eyeball poking. They have been tested successfully in extreme weathers and come with a global 2-year warranty.

The Design
I designed the Blunt X fortyonehundred umbrella as a reminder of connection; between the rain falling, with the soul in the middle, grounded to the earth below. Fractal patterning allows us to visualise the unbreakable and immense interconnection between humans and nature. A beautiful fusion of art, science, mathematics and people.

The Collaboration
Creating an umbrella with Blunt has been a dream of mine for a while now. So, when I woke up to an out-of-the-blue email from Blunt you can imagine how thrilled I was. What an enjoyable project to embark on - First I created several artworks and then once the iterative process was rolling, together we chose this free-flowing, fractal-inspired design that was inverted, rotated, mirrored and arranged on the panels.
